Christmas is just around the corner and everyone is getting their last minute shopping done but don’t forget about those fun stocking stuffers! I don’t celebrate Christmas but I visit some of my friends sometimes and join in on the fun. Everyone loves to open presents but I think it’s just as fun going through your stockings to find little surprises, don’t you? I would think it’s pretty challenging to buy reasonable stocking stuffers that your family and friends will like. They shouldn’t break the bank but they should be something they like and will use. When I was shopping for Hanukkah gifts at the mall recently, I saw some adorable, fun, AND reasonable stocking stuffers. I’ve categorized them by recipient.
Lucky for you guys, women love a variety of stocking stuffers. We aren’t picky! As long as you get your women either makeup, perfume, something cute for the house, something to cook with, beauty products, clothes, or shoes, they will be happy. I know these stocking stuffers are a tad on the expensive side, but if you’re buying for someone special, why not go the extra mile? If you’re getting more expensive stuffers, just get two and then fill the stocking with their favorite candy or small travel size, every-day goodies. Gift cards can also make great stuffers for women – Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, manicure/pedicure, etc..
I think I have gotten to know men pretty well over the years and I think it’s safe to say as long as you get them something manly to fill their stocking, they’ll be happy. I have suggested either his favorite cologne, a money clip, nice socks, something related to his favorite sports team, or something small and creative like the mini-emergency kit for his night out with the guys (or the girls if he’s your brother or son!) Just like the women’s stuffers, these can be expensive but they’re only ideas so feel free to substitute the items. For example instead of the grill cover, you can go online to your man’s favorite MLB store and get him a hat, a t-shirt, shot glasses, a cork and bottle opener. There are many options!
I think kids are the easiest to stuff stockings for. I mean hey, especially if they’re young they will appreciate such small things like stickers or an activity book or small game. I found these great, inexpensive gifts that you can easily fit in a stocking. They would be appropriate for ages 5+ with parental supervision (especially with the balloons). Face paint would also be a great idea! Stores like iParty have great stocking stuffers that are inexpensive and fun to most young children (under 10).
Another cute idea (and FREE!) is to go to Sephora and get three free cologne samples (or perfume for her) that the recipient likes or might like and put those in their stocking. It’s free and a cute idea for them to try new scents!
